ARK Food Drive
With the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus in the UK, there have been heightened levels of anxiety around the impact the virus is having, including the knock-on effects felt by small businesses, charities & social organisations.
Food banks, themselves small charities serving the local community, have in particular been impacted as a result of shoppers panic-buying & vulnerable people who rely on foodbanks self-isolating.
As ARK, we’d love to continue being an outward-facing community, and hope to support the vulnerable in society who might be suffering more at this time. This is why we've chosen to partner with Bankuet for our members to donate through in order to support their friends, family or other vulnerable people who might be struggling at this time.
Under our ARK for Good programme, ARK will seek to match fund any donations made through Bankuet. Bankuet is a digital zero-waste food donation platform: whose vision is to help food banks get what they need, when they need it - and to make it easier for donors to give. Why? So more people don't go to bed hungry in this country. Metro recently published an article on what they are trying to achieve.
